The premium paper of economic analysis and thinking has warned USA to go ahead with Nuclear Deal....Why? Because this deal helps India more than it helps USA....

Rise of China is rarely mentioned, but it is perhaps the fundamental impulse behind this deal, as a factor in America's nuclear exception for India....
....But from what has been said about it, it makes the deal far worse, by allowing India to reprocess American-supplied nuclear fuel, and by permitting it to build fuel stockpiles and hence withstand any future cut-off of supplies should it test another bomb....

The Economist believes that USA has given too many concessions to India, in its bid to control the military and economic growth of China...So here's the economic and strategy link to this deal...US wants to control China...Full Stop.
China knows this..so they oppose the deal...And many pro-China Indian political parties also oppose the deal...
But hey its benefitial for India...So lets hope it goes through and lets support it with all our might and nationalist spirit...

how does the us benefit from deal?
the us would be suppliying india both nuclear technology and reactors ,should the deal progress beyond endless chattr and talks. the USA is prijected to mind over$150 billion of the deal
that precisely what the left is worried about.the deal would mean that india is completly dependent on US.
it is not good because as soon as sign the agreement US would take control over India.India will not be an independent nation
There are a lot of advantages for India. First and foremost it will solve the energy crisis India is facing right now. In order to become a developed country, you need capital, infrastructure and energy. As things stand right now, India is meeting only 94% of its energy demand with 6% short fall. this gap will increase to 22% by 2030. India's energy- 65% comes from thermal energy like coal/naphta power plants, 26% hydel energy, 6% nuclear and 3% from wind/solar. This nuclear deal will help India fill the energy gap. Availability of energy translates to wealth generation with more manufacturing, more production and more jobs.
Second benefit is the tremendous boost to business and economy. The investment on nuclear energy is in billions of dollars. This deal will help both US and Indian economies. US will benefit by selling power plants and technology. India by developing the required infrastructure/ construction.
Third benefit is, India is admitted in to the exclusive club of nuclear powers. This will help India to become a world leader and potentially a member of UN security council.
I congratulate Dr. Manmohan Singh for his vision and long term planning.
