Former chairman of Atomic Energy Commission criticizes Left parties

This comes straight from the horse's mouth.

Former chairman of Atomic Energy Commission M R Srinivasan has condemned the Left parties for their opposition to the Indo-US nuclear deal, saying they do not bother about the country's GDP growth.

Dear Sir, they call themselves Left, because they do not know the "right" way to drive this country to prosperity. Leftist idealism can only prosper if poverty survives. They need hordes of poor as their vote-bank to condemn the capatalist. They need a ENEMY. Notwithstanding the fact that their parent country China is the most capitalist country in the world.

Mr Srinivasan said that left's main concern is India and the US are coming closer and this is something they cannot stomach.
He said that it is not a good thing to have a strong China and a weak India in a long haul.

His remarks are important because in event of a no strategic partnership with west, a energy hungry nation like India will crumble under the weight of its own development and GDP run-rate. This is another matter that a poor India would be loved by Left parties, as they need poor and deprieved spread all around them to listen to their communist ideologies.

Mr Srinivasan argued that Strengthening of relations with the US should be seen as "hedging your risk" so that New Delhi is not left "high and dry.

It took China 13 years to negotiate the 123 agreement with the US, it took only two years for India to enter into similar pact with Washington. We are on a path of progress and self-reliance. Let us co-ordinate with the world powers to generate more energy for our domestic needs. Let us remove poverty from this country by aiming for a agressive GDP growth rate.

Vande Matram.
